When people stand beside one another, society becomes a more beautiful place. One such bright example of human connection was seen in an extraordinary initiative by Spandan Foundation — “A Different Kind of Bazaar.”
Our destination this time was Rintala Danga Village, located beside the customs office in Bolpur. A group of our dedicated Spandan Foundation members reached the village carrying over 2,000 pieces of pre-loved but usable clothing.
🎪 A Bazaar Where Clothes Are Exchanged with Heart
This bazaar was completely free — no price tags, no conditions. It was all about offering what people needed. Everyone was free to choose their preferred clothes as per their requirement.
It was a beautiful union of dignity and compassion.
From little children to elderly individuals, everyone came with bright eyes and warm smiles. One elderly woman, with tears in her eyes, told us, “I never imagined I’d get such a lovely dress for my granddaughter.”
Moments like these are what make every bit of our effort worthwhile.
💌 Celebrating Humanity
This initiative was driven by a simple yet powerful purpose — to stand beside the underprivileged and bring a smile to their faces.
To those of you who donated clean, usable clothes with so much love and generosity — we extend our heartfelt gratitude and thanks.
Your donated clothes brought warmth in winter, joy during festivals, and comfort in times of hardship.
🔁 Continuing the Mission
The overwhelming success of this “Different Kind of Bazaar” has inspired us deeply. We have now decided to turn this into an annual initiative by Spandan Foundation.
A humble request from us: ✔️ Please donate only clean, wearable, and well-maintained clothes.
❌ Avoid donating torn, dirty, or unusable clothes, as we wish to preserve the dignity of those who receive them.
📍 We will begin collecting clothes again from: 10th December 2025.

We believe a truly beautiful society is built on empathy, kindness, and the will to uplift one another.
Spandan Foundation continues its journey in search of such a compassionate world — where no one feels left behind.
