When humanity joins hands, even the strongest storms lose their power. This spirit of unity was beautifully reflected in a remarkable initiative taken by several volunteer organizations of Kirnahar — including Spandan Foundation — to support the flood‑affected families of Sundarpur, Nanoor.
A few days earlier, an important meeting was held under the guidance of Shri Shibram Chatterjee, Hon’ble Pradhan of Kirnahar 1 No. Gram Panchayat. The objective was clear: to stand beside the people devastated by the recent floods and plan effective relief distribution. Every organization present agreed wholeheartedly to contribute to this humanitarian effort.
🤝 United for Relief: A Heartfelt Mission
Following the collaborative decision, yesterday — on the auspicious day of Mahalaya — essential relief items were delivered to the flood victims of Sundarpur. The distributed aid included:
- Flattened rice (Chire)
- Puffed rice (Muri)
- Biscuits
- Horlicks
- Sarees
- Clothes
- Lungi
Although Spandan Foundation had its Sharodiya Gift Distribution Programme scheduled on the same day and couldn’t be present physically, our hearts, contribution, and efforts were strongly with the team throughout the mission.
This meaningful work took place under the supervision and guidance of Shri Bidhan Chandra Majhi, Hon’ble MLA of Nanoor Constituency. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to him for ensuring the successful completion of this initiative.
