A Different Kind of Birthday: Celebrating with Love for Stray Animals

Birthdays are usually filled with joy, celebrations, and time spent with friends and family. But some celebrations go beyond personal happiness and become a source of kindness for the world.
Such was the beautiful thought behind the birthday celebration of Smt. Suchandra Ghosh (Pinky), a dedicated member of Spandan Foundation.

Suchandra and her husband Sri Pintu Ghosh, residents of Aligram under the Kirnahar Police Station area, have always had a compassionate heart for stray animals. They regularly feed stray dogs, provide them with medicine, and help them in every possible way. Their kindness truly makes them stand apart.

This year, on Suchandra’s birthday, Pintu expressed a heartfelt wish — to celebrate the day by feeding stray dogs and caring for them. Spandan Foundation proudly supported this noble idea, as we always stand beside such meaningful initiatives.

The day began with a small cake‑cutting ceremony at the Spandan office. After that, our team, along with the couple, visited different places such as Kirnahar, Jubutia, Bank More, and Aligram, where food, clean water, and essential medicines were provided to stray dogs.
The joy and satisfaction on the faces of the couple reflected the true spirit of giving.

This is not the first time they have extended their helping hand — they have supported Spandan’s animal-care initiatives many times before.
We warmly wish Suchandra a very Happy Birthday!
May she stay healthy, happy, and blessed always.

We encourage everyone to celebrate their special days in a meaningful way — just like Pintu and Suchandra.
You too can make a difference by feeding or caring for stray animals and joining us in these weekly initiatives.

Spandan Foundation is always ready to assist you in such noble efforts.
